I don't understand the sentence that starts: "muß nichteinmal Raum schaffen um sich". It seems something is missing from it? The part between brackets is missing from the english version, so I can't figure it out.. Is this really how it reads in the letter or is something gone missing? Or ...

BTW, this begs the question: "When he wrote this, was Rilke aware of the discrepancy between the real letters Goethe wrote to Bettina von Arnim and the embellished versions she published in "Briefwechsel mit einem Kinde"?"
